Mobile apps are helping campaigns engage with more voters and make it easier for voters to be informed about different candidates. Our co-founder and digital director for the Romney campaign Zac Moffatt was mentioned in a few articles this week highlighting the campaign’s digital presence and strategy:
A new TechPresident article covers new functionalities of the Romney digital campaign. The Romney campaign is developing a new event app that distributes tickets and provides users with Facebook and Twitter posts about new campaign events. Another new app called “Victory Wallet” allows supporters to donate online or through their smartphones. Moffatt explained at a Google Hangout that the Romney campaign is evolving its digital strategy to guarantee a Romney victory in November.
The Romney campaign is teaming up with the Square network to introduce a new way of accepting credit card donations. Square combines both donation processing and collecting donor information. In a new article from Slate, Moffatt explains how the Romney campaign hopes that Square will help encourage supporters and volunteers to donate and become more involved.
