Digital Landscape Report: Senatorial Races and Facebook Interactions (April 18, 2012)

In this Targeted Victory Digital Landscape Report, Bryan Watkins and Michael Beach explore the change in Facebook interactions among senatorial candidates over the past four weeks. Republicans did a good job using Facebook to interact with potential voters and 5 of the top 6 candidates were Republican.

A few key points:

1. Elizabeth Warren led all candidates with 30,512 interactions and a 12.20% interaction share. Ted Cruz led all Republican candidates with 28,715 and 11.48%.

2. Of the top 6 senate candidates, George Allen led with 82 posts.

3.  Scott Brown had the most interactions per post of any Republican candidate with 464.

 

Digital Landscape Report: National Committees and Facebook Interactions (April 18, 2012)

In this Targeted Victory Digital Landscape Report, Bryan Watkins and Michael Beach explore the growth in the Facebook interactions between the campaign committees over the past four weeks. While the DCCC had the most interactions with 176,375, the RNC had the most posts with 77.

A few key points:

1. The DCCC had the largest interaction share percentage with 52.89%. The RNC led all Republican committees with 30.04%.

2. The RNC also led Republican committees with 1,301 interactions per post.

3. The NRSC had 29 posts with 9,567 interactions compared to 3 posts and 247 interactions for the DSCC.

Digital Landscape Report: Presidential Race and Facebook Interactions (April 18, 2012)

In this Targeted Victory Digital Landscape Report, Bryan Watkins and Michael Beach explore the growth in the Facebook likes between the presidential candidates over the past four weeks. Mitt Romney was the big winner with 464,689 interactions and had the largest percentage of interaction with 36.46%.

A few key points:

1. Mitt Romney led all candidates with 156 posts.

2. Barack Obama had the most interactions per post with 7,650.  Ron Paul led all Republican candidates with 3,838.

3.  The three remaining Republican candidates had a total of 276 posts and 838,464 interactions.

Wall Street Journal: Dig Against Ann Romney Ignites Twitter

The Wall Street journal had an article last Friday about Hilary Rosen’s comments on Ann Romney highlighted Twitter’s important impact. Targeted Victory co-founder and current Digital Director for the Romney campaign Zac Moffatt mentioned how Twitter can be an important tool for political campaigns to respond quickly to new stories. By tweeting a response to Rosen’s criticism, Ann Romney helped bring Republicans together and emphasize the power of social media in this year’s presidential race.

Philadelphia Inquirer: Obama, Romney camps ready for digital warfare

Yesterday, the Philadelphia Inquirer posted an article about the impact of digital media in the 2012 election. Digital media will be a big factor in reaching out to voters and getting important messages and policies across to different demographics. To help add insight to the significance of digital media to the Mitt Romney campaign, the article turned to Targeted Victory co-founder and current Digital Director for the Romney campaign Zac Moffatt.

Targeted Victory co-founder and current Digital Director for the Romney campaign Zac Moffatt was featured in an article by Hot Air about how David Axelrod helped Mitt Romney with his comments about the 2012 election and the economy during an interview with Fox News Sunday. After the interview, the Romney campaign created a soundbite on YouTube and tweeted the video to followers.
