In this Targeted Victory Digital Landscape Report, Michael Beach and Ryan Meerstein look at web traffic to Governor candidate websites during the month of September. Meg Whitman was the only candidate to eclipse the 100,000 mark during this time period.
A few key points:
1. Meg Whitman led all candidates with 117,370 visits. Her opponent, Jerry Brown, led all Dem candidates with 69,142.
2. By CD, Brian Dubie led all candidates with 7,372 visits per CD. Neil Abercrombie led all Dem candidates with 5,892 visits per CD.
3. The GOP led head to head in 25 of 37 races.
4. Meg Whitman accounted for 13% of all web traffic.
